Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the GoodTill mobile app, built and operated by Steve Kao, an independent developer based in Hong Kong ("we", "our"). By using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. What GoodTill does

GoodTill helps you track expiry dates on coupons, gift cards, receipts, warranties, trials, subscriptions and similar items, and reminds you before they expire.

GoodTill is a diligent guardian, not the rulebook. Dates, codes and terms shown in the app are read by AI from your photos and reviewed by you. Merchants' own systems, policies and terms always have the final say. We do not guarantee that any coupon, code or offer will be honoured.

2. Your responsibilities

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use GoodTill.
  • Review extracted information before saving it. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you keep.
  • Use the app for personal, lawful purposes only.
  • Do not attempt to abuse the service (e.g. automated mass scanning).

3. Free tier and paid plans

  • The free tier includes a monthly allowance of AI-powered scans; manual entries are unlimited. Current allowances are shown in the app's Settings.
  • Paid plans ("GoodTill Plus"), when offered, are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled; manage or cancel in your device's subscription settings. Refunds follow Apple/Google policies.

4. Intellectual property

The app, its design and its content are owned by Steve Kao. Your coupons and photos remain yours.

5. No warranty; limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Steve Kao is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app — including, without limitation, expired coupons, missed reminders, or misread information. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (if nothing, then HK$100).

6. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your place of residence.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be surfaced in the app (e.g. in Settings) before taking effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
